Whoops

Umm… yeah, so I haven’t written a blog in what feels like a year but I’m back and I’ll try to be better in the new year. No promises though.

WELL WHAT A YEAR, FRIENDS! Let’s play the peak and the pit. The peak highlights of 2022: The birth of my son, Georgie, obviously takes the cake, but also marrying my best friend, Trev. Only took us 13 years to tie the knot! Opening a business in like 2 months comes third. There was a lot of fun in between all of those and I can’t name them all because the list would be endless. The pit of 2022? Eh, can’t really think of anything terrible that happened. I was blessed with a pretty dang good year. What am I looking forward to in 2023? Watching both my babies grow. Georgie is the center of my life, we all know this. My little shop is my pride and joy and I can’t wait to see what happens in the future with events and classes.

Speaking of classes, I was in zombie mode last night. Actually the last week or so. Georgie is going through his 4 month sleep regression and I am up pretty much every hour with him but thankfully I don’t go back to work until the 5th. We both need some serious z’s! Since I was up a trillion times I made a rough draft of classes I’d like to offer in the new year. I was thinking about offering two classes a month; a themed cheese board making class and then maybe a cheese and adult bevie pairing class. What do we think? Both would be very casual. Bring a friend, bring your dad, bring whoever. Limited spaces though because if you’ve dropped by it’s pretty cozy in there. I’d still like to bring in special guests to teach workshops like Adam who taught the knife skill class and Lindsey who taught the fancy cookie decorating class. Both unique and both fun. Would 100% recommend taking those classes if you missed out! I’ll see if they’ll want to do them again!

I guess I’ll keep these hours for now. Thursday-Saturday 10-4 unless I can’t find someone to cover my shop while I’m at the farmers market through the end of February. I’ll probably just be open 130-4 then. Sunday and Monday open 10-1 but honestly, both those days are pretty slow so I have to rethink that. Kind of want to adjust the days but also want to hang with my family. We’ll see. Nothing set in stone but loving the flexibility of this new life I have!

Ok, I think that’s it for now. Always here if you need to contact me via social media or email. My shop doesn’t have a phone and I could get one but I just have weird hours that I think it would be silly to have one. I also hate talking on the phone.

See you all in the new year and hey, thanks again for supporting my small business and making me feel welcomed to the neighborhood (even though I literally live right down the street).

BYE 2022!
