Nap trapped again so I’ll write a blog.
Wohoo! Happy 4/20 my pals! And National Cheddar Fries Day and National Pineapple Upside Down Cake Day and National High Five Day! They all go hand in hand 😁
April has been a pretty awesome month. Lots of catering orders and summer inquiries so yay! It’s finally getting warmer out and I would like to adjust hours and organize the shop a bit more. I’m thinking about adding a few long shelves and some cool art to the bare walls but I’ve been busy and multitasking is not on my list of strengths these days.
Let’s get back to how awesome April has been. If you’re a foodie and don’t mind spending a chunk of money on beautiful and unique food, you need to get on the Bon Ami email list and snag a spat at one of their Monday night dinner club events. Is it even a dinner club? I’m not sure what to call it but I’m always down for playing dress up and drinking wine. I went last Monday with my friend and it was the best night. It finished up just in time to grab a night cap at Karma in Concord so keep that in mind if you’re looking for extra funsies. This dinner was really cool and I ate things I normally wouldn’t. I wasn’t planning on going again because I don’t have a money tree in my backyard but I was invited by someone who got 4 tickets so looks like I’m going to play dress up in a couple weeks! I’m not mad about it.
And now for the bad news. My schedule is going to be all sorts of confusing the beginning of May. I don’t have anyone locked in to prep and manage the shop yet and I’m guessing it might take a little time. I’m going to Bermuda May 5th-12th so I’ll only be open the 13th that weekend. I’m going back and forth whether or not I should do a Mother’s Day cheese board workshop that day. I always have this dreaded feeling that no one’s going to sign up but people end up coming so I don’t know why I worry so much. Anyone want to sign up???
The following weekend I have a Friday evening wedding and a Saturday morning bridal shower so I need to figure out how I’m going to prep for those plus have some opening hours. Seriously though, I don’t blame anyone but myself and multitasking is really hard now! If I had a money tree I’d clone myself so I could be in all places at once..preferably on the couch watching reruns of Gilmore Girls.
I’ll keep you updated with the Mother’s Day workshop and my hours. Hopefully by Memorial Day I’ll have someone part time. Oh and that reminds me about the summer farmers market on the common. Signed up for all of them I think? Gotta check on that. Did I say that in my last blog?
A little Georgie update for you! He has 2 teeth and just turned 8 months old this past weekend! For a couple nights he was teething pretty bad and was flipping and flopping around during the night so sleep wasn’t great for either of us. Poor kiddo. Them toofers are cute though!
Well, that’s it. I’ve had a fun month. The twinsies 36th birthday is tomorrow so we’ll be celebrating with ‘secco and steak. See you all at the shop! (Happy almost birthday Trevor and Scotlyn!!!)
Just keep swimming,
Abby
