Definitely a Memorable Easter Weekend…
Bye Easter bunny!
We had a busy catering week at the shop so I’m very grateful for everyone who ordered or placed an order for a later date! Thank you! Also, it’s always really nice to just have you come in and chat for a bit! Love catching up with you all!
The Sunny Side of Chelmsford (SSoC) smack in Chelmsford Center, Fishbones, Tiny Tiles Mosaics, plus me and TJ from Tiny Toes Enrichment, sponsored our first Easter Egg hunt at Bartlett Park this weekend for families to come together.
Just a friendly reminder we’re not a town group or affiliated with the business association. Everyone’s confused about that I guess. We’re also not a cult and aren’t excluding anyone. Come join us. 😂We’re just a few businesses trying to get more footsteps through the center and do some fun things for our community.
We decided that an Easter egg hunt would be a good idea to get people out into fresh air and into a little nook of Chelmsford they may never had known existed! There were thousands of eggs donated that were put together by these small businesses and the turn out was much bigger than we anticipated. Honestly, I was nervous about having too many eggs and when I was standing in the middle of Bartlett Park at 930AM it really was just a park filled with colorful eggs. It felt like too many. There happened to be a number of other Easter egg hunts in the area around the same time but we ended up with over 300 people and guess what? Not enough eggs. It was still a fun event, some hiccups with holding families back until the 10AM start, not limiting the number of eggs per child, and underestimating how many eggs we actually needed. Eggs were literally gone in the first few minutes but we had bigger kids go towards the back so the littles could have a chance at getting some eggs. It basically looked like complete chaos and I would like to remind you it was a FREE event. It was put on by SMALL businesses. It was our FIRST event. We’re not rolling in egg dough, ok?
Onto the second part of the egg hunt chaos. We don’t like to get yelled at in person OR made to feel like shit on Facebook. If you’d like to make our Easter egg hunt bigger and better for next year please donate your money, time and eggs. If you are fearful that your child won’t get any eggs, you could possibly hold your own Easter egg hunt at your own convenience where there will be guaranteed eggs. Possibly a whole basket. Please for the love of Easter, stop it. You do not get to yell AT our faces about how you came late and there were no eggs left. Did you read that article from Time Magazine introducing the 14 worst kinds of late people? Recommend. It’s people that complain, criticize, and give unsolicited (kind of crap) feedback that ruins the magic and fun. We’re all adults here so maybe step back and think about how you approach other people while with your child in hand. Or maybe other children who could be in ear shot of your loud conversations AKA yelling AKA verbally putting someone down. There are actual things in the world that matter waaay more than just a silly Easter egg hunt so if this made you really upset then..
Hop little bunny, hop, hop, hop.
Hop far away.
That’s been bothering me since Saturday morning. We have feelings you know. Just stop yelling at us. Thanks.
Onto the next big adventure this week! I’ll be catering Lowell General’s Cardiac Rehabilitation grand re-opening on Thursday so I’m honored to help! What an amazing group of humans. Here’s more info!

I have a couple teacher appreciation luncheons this week where mini sammies were requested. Salad are also involved. I really love making tea sandwiches. I really love anything mini to be honest.
Speaking of mini things… I just randomly came across a Polly Pocket TikTok and got sucked into a rabbit hole of this entire Polly Pocket collectible universe. Very nostalgic and I’m definitely here for it. Anyone else remember how cool they were?
Ok, wrapping up the weekend, I have a baby shower so I’m excited to make pretty boards full of edible flowers. Mini sammies too! I think baby showers and wedding showers are my favorite. Anyone want to do a brunch grazing table this year? Always a hit!
Well, that’s my rant blog. No April fools here. Just the straight up truth about ridiculous situations.
If you have a catering order you’d like to place I have plenty of availability. I typically ask for a day or two in advance but y’all know I love working under pressure.
Bye!
Abby
Moral of the story? Be nice. Seriously.
