Trick or Treat!

Halloween is finally here and every year we clear the driveway of our cars and take our solo stove out. We invite our neighbors and friends over for a fire, drinks, food, put out a 6 ft table at the end of the driveway with fun lights and stock it with goodie bags and extra treats for everyone walking by to grab. We even have a cooler for parents to participate in the festivities. It’s a nice way to catch up plus all the kiddos in their costumes are so cute! If you live/trick or treat off Warren maybe you’ll see us tonight! For Georgie’s first Halloween he will be wearing his little velvet hooded frog onesie! I’ll have to post a picture on social media!

The last update on the shop was having coving installed for wash down walls but lucky me, the contractor forgot to add me to his schedule and never showed up. I had a feeling when 8:11 rolled by he wasn’t going to show up. Oh well. Laodice stopped by with paint samples and we walked over to see Casey for a coffee so the whole morning wasn’t ruined. Saw an old classmate from school (Hi Brianna!) getting a coffee and met her cutie little baby!

My besties husband is an electrician so he came by Friday afternoon to check my electrical box. My water heater was tripping every time the building lost power (which seems like more often than not) and my building is historical so I don’t know if that has to do with anything. It was annoying waiting for hot water to fill the 3 bay sinks and end up with no hot water at the end. Adam fixed it so that’s another thing checked off my list!

I still need to schedule pest control for routine visits, hood cleanings, pick paint although I’m pretty much leaving that up to Laod, and still need to install coving.

My first farmer’s market is at Maxwell’s on November 12th so I need to get coving ASAP so I can get another inspection in so fingers crossed! I’m pulling in my brother in law to help me, my besties husband, and hopefully my husband.. but someone needs to watch the baby so maybe we’ll all take turns.

Hope everyone has a safe and spooky Halloween! Another update to come!

**This just in: I’m obviously writing this in bed in the dark and baby is still snoozin’ but hubs just walked in with a breakfast sammy from Summer Street Grocers and set my entire day. If you haven’t had the pleasure of trying one of these breakfast sammies YOU. MUST. GO. Go right now. I promise you’ll love them. Thanks Trev!
