Let’s goooo

It’s exactly 615 and I’m writing from my cozy bed. George was up at 2 tossing and turning so that means I was also up at 2. This should pass. Right?

Anyway, I got zero done yesterday because I wasn’t motivated to do anything. I’m pretty great at procrastinating so that’s exactly what I did. I seriously have 100 things I need to get done this week so I went to Fishbones and got my first martini since Georgie came. I was..on a different level for a bit…(Thanks Jess!) I should stick to beer.

We FaceTimed my mom happy birthday yesterday who happened to be at the gym so that was about 45 seconds out of my day. Tried to do laundry and let it sit on the bed for 5 hours. The family I used to nanny bought Trev + co matching pajamas for the holidays those were hanging in the clean pile and I tried to convince my dog I’m not the bad guy that’s going to try and shimmy that outfit on him. I’m sure the photos could go either way; amazing or not so amazing. Check back in on that.

Called dad yesterday to help install a partition between the new prep sink and mop sink per the board of health’s requirements. Thinking about disgusting moppy chemicals that dare touch the prep sink vicinity after cleaning the cracks and crevices of that place and finding things I can never unsee or untouch gives me the heebies. Seriously. Who keeps a place in that condition? Not me. Remember I mentioned the slight OCD? The only other place that was immaculate was the first commercial kitchen I ever worked in. RIP Orange Door Kitchen. You truly are missed. Did you know I met Laodice there? We weren’t friends then. Most likely because I would wear my headphones constantly so I could work without interruptions. They’re big orange and green Bose headphones so if you scroll through my Instagram I’m sure you’ll find some selfies of me in them at ODK from a few years ago. Don’t worry, Load, I’ll leave the headphones at home when we start working together!

So with all that rambling, I’m calling the board of health at 8 to schedule a quick inspection to get the OK to prep for my first winter market this Saturday. If I don’t pass I will 100% cry but then pick myself up and hustle to get done whatever he needs me to meet requirements. I’m pretty sure I’m up to date on everything. The last week was busy and we worked through the weekend. I’m so thankful for my family for lending their hands and Load for picking beautiful paint and wallpaper that really brought it all together. I owe you all so many more pizzas and beers guys!

I have some exciting news coming very soon. I just need to confirm a few details. Like, REAL exciting news. Really very soon.

Side note: I’ve managed to crawl out of bed and scoop baby into the Lalabu kerier and he’s asleep. I’m currently bouncing on an exercise ball so let’s hope I can scoot over to the shop and finish up a few things this morning. We don’t want a repeat of yesterday’s shenanigans even though it was a fun day.

K BYE!

Abby
